Project Description

Coca-Cola Flood Defences, Project Management

Following significant flooding in 2012 C60 were appointed by Coca-Cola Hellenic to carry out a feasibility study and options appraisal into improving the flood defences of their production facility at Knockmore Hill, Lisburn.

The study involved coordination of a multi-disciplinary team and government agencies including NIEA, River’s Agency and the planning authorities. Upon selection of the preferred option C60 carried out extensive pre-planning negotiations with River’s Agency and the planning authorities to ensure planning approval was granted without objection.

Upon receipt of planning approval, C60 coordinated the tender and construction processes and administered the contract on site, with works completed in September 2014.

The work was completed under budget despite an increase in the scope of the project to include additional landscape works.
